Activities: The Beach

Pensacola Beach

There are several picturesque beaches located in the charming Pensacola area. Among these beautiful coastal gems, Pensacola Beach (pictured to the left if you’re on desktop and above on mobile) stands out as the most renowned destination for both locals and visitors, offering stunning views and a wide range of activities to enjoy by the sparkling Gulf waters. Activities include Bands on the Beach, jetskiing swimming, parades, and shopping. If you haven’t ever been jetskiing, it’s an activity that I highly recommend. There are also numerous restaurants, such as Flounders, Crabs, and The Grand Marlin (personally, Crabs is my favorite). Pensacola Beach is definitely the more popular beach.

Johnson’s Beach

There are also some lesser-known beaches that are considered "hidden gems," such as the tranquil Johnson’s Beach (pictured to the right if you’re on desktop and above on mobile), discreetly nestled away from the bustling crowds, offering a peaceful retreat for those seeking a more secluded coastal experience. Honestly, some of the older folks in the area consider Perdido Key, and therefore Johnson’s Beach, to be one of Florida’s best kept secrets (I disagree. However, I will admit that Johnson’s Beach is way less popular than Pensacola Beach). This is where I typically take all of my friends and family when they come to visit from out of state. There aren’t really any activities around Johnson’s Beach because it is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Just the sun, the sand, and the sea.
