Shopping: Cordova Mall

Like many of the malls around the United States, it feels as though Cordova Mall is becoming less popular due to the convenience of online shopping. But that doesn’t stop new stores from opening up.

A few years ago, the store Cotton On closed. But they just recently opened back up—just in another location in the mall (funny enough). The store Arie opened up last year, I believe, and the store Guess is supposed to be opening up soon. Alongside these stores, there are plenty of other stores to shop at in the mall. Such as Tilly’s, PacSun, BoxLunch, FYE, GameStop, Express, Ross … you get the idea.

Online shopping also doesn’t stop the abundance of people who flood the mall over the weekend. Whether it’s for new clothes, new household items, or gift shopping, you will always see people at the mall over the weekend. The only time of the year that’s more popular than the 52 weekends of the year is holiday season. Cordova Mall gets slammed. And I mean slam-packed. No available parking spaces.

Even if you’re not shopping, Cordova Mall is a great place to people watch. There are many sitting areas throughout the mall’s multiple wings. Sometimes, Casey and I visit Cordova Mall just so we can people watch.

If you haven’t checked out Cordova Mall and the surrounding stores, you’re seriously missing out.
