The Author: An Introduction

Hi. I’m Isabella. I am currently 24 years old and have been living in Pensacola, Florida, since September 2003. My dad retired here, after serving in the Marines for 30 years.

In 2018, I began dating my now husband, Casey. We got married in December of 2023, and we had our first child in April of 2024. His name is Bentley and he is the sweetest baby you will ever meet. We also have two cats. A Bengal-Siamese Mix: Jinx, and a Scottish Fold: Scotty. This is the Turner Family.

In December of 2021, I graduated from The University of West Florida with a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology. To graduate, I had to either attend a seminar or do an internship. I chose the internship. I was an intern with the Florida Department of Corrections, at one of the State Probation Offices in town. In March of 2022, they decided to hire me (thank you Ms. Julie), and I have been working with them ever since. A few days ago, I decided I wanted to enroll in an online real-estate course.

In the Summer, I enjoy going to the beach with my friends and family, and laying out in the sun. It’s honestly almost too hot to do anything else. In the Fall, I go to the Fair with family. For Casey and I, it’s tradition—we’ve gone every year since we have been together. In the Winter time, I spend my days with family. Casey and I also decorate the house for each holiday. Halloween, Thanksgiving (and Black Friday), Christmas, and New years. And in the Spring, I try to spend my days outside.

In my spare time I enjoy doing artsy things. I have made wire-wrapped jewelry, resin keychains, chunky blankets, graphic design, bullet journals. This year I want to try gardening, although I kind of have a brown thumb. So we’ll see how that goes. I also enjoy traveling, although I don’t get to do much of it now.

And that pretty much sums me and my life up. Now. Are you ready to dive in to the Pensacola culture?
